Customer Goal: Re-design and beautify front island.

Project Scope: Design and installation of a small perennial garden. Demolition and removal of some existing shrubbery and turf, extensive maintenance to existing plantings to be saved.

Customer Goal: Grade yard level for patio and  provide water feature and plantings.

Project Scope: Engineering of grades, irrigation, stack stonework, stone patio, and plantings to aesthetically complement the water feature.

Design and installation of a water pond with two waterfalls, one facing the house and one facing the entrance drive

Customer Goal: Increase parking area with circular concrete drive, eliminate drainage problems at front of house, remove existing walkway and enlarge with stone walk.

Project Scope: This project presented unique and difficult challenges due to a large increase in water from new surrounding developments. The existing large steel catch basin was in the middle of the new proposed circular concrete drive and was therefore closed with a fabricated thick steel plate and buried under concrete re-enforced with rebar. The existing 18” steel pipe was tied into 40 linear feet down line with a 12” tee and drop inlet 5 feet above its existing elevation.

Much of the existing drive that was demolished was ground down and used for granular fill. Tandem loads of fill dirt and gravel were delivered to provide the new necessary elevations. A large river birch blocking the front of the house was removed to give the woodwork on the front of the house more visibility. The new concrete drive and footings were finished soon after demo to allow the customer access while new stack stonework, and plantings completed the project.

Cutomer Goal: Provide privacy and enclosure from a traffic-laden thoroughfare. Increase parking, add courtyard space, and provide a combination of formal elements with perennial and seasonal plantings.

Project Scope: Design and construction of new drive and detailed brick entrance walls was the first phase of this extensive project. The existing asphalt drive was removed and the new drive was centered on the home to provide a more formal appearance. Extensive grading and location of topsoil was provided for adequate elevations. Irrigation, sodding and plantings were provided for softening and achieving the desired effect.

Customer Goal: Add carport, office and multi-level decks for entertaining guests.

Project Scope: This existing modular home had a gravel drive with a steep grade and a temporary ramp at the rear to move a piano inside. Extra room in the home was needed for a small office. A stack stone block wall with concrete and steel re-enforcement was designed to enable the new room to be added as well as reducing the steep slope of the drive. Stack stone columns were engineered with steel rods through the cedar posts to support the roof and eliminate sway while allowing the posts to look like a part of the stone columns rather than sitting on the top of them.

Irrigation and shade garden plantings were installed underneath the existing canopy of large trees. Elevated wood walkways were installed to minimize the impact of additional grading. The lower large deck cantilevers over the existing drop off to maximize the feeling of being in the trees while viewing the creek from twenty feet above.
